Confirm component shipping before ordering
Give us the destination and the date you need the parts to arrive. Review the proposed shipping service, packaging, freight charges and documents before ordering, and distinguish an estimated arrival from a guaranteed deadline.
Be clear about the dates
The date you need the parts, the proposed dispatch date and the estimated arrival date are different. Make each one clear when discussing an urgent order.
| Date | What it means |
|---|---|
| Required arrival | When you need the parts at the destination |
| Proposed dispatch | When the shipment is expected to leave |
| Estimated arrival | Expected arrival based on the service and its conditions |
What to discuss in the quotation
Ask which shipping costs and arrangements are included.
- Provide the destination and required arrival date.
- Discuss your preferred carrier or service and alternatives.
- Confirm packaging and shipment documents.
- Agree freight charges and customs or clearance responsibilities.
- Check whether inspection or documentation affects dispatch.
- Review the arrangements before ordering.
Example delivery request
Sample wording: “Destination Hong Kong; required arrival 20 October 2026. Please quote the shipping service, freight, packaging and documents, with estimated dispatch and arrival dates.”
If the deadline is essential, say so and ask whether the proposed service can meet it.
Keep the order details together
